Emerald Golf Course

The Emerald Course at Macdonald Hill Valley Hotel, Golf & Spa is the resort’s flagship layout and a mature parkland test set in rolling Shropshire countryside. Designed to championship standard, it plays to a par 73 and measures just over 6,700 yards from the back tees, offering a strong but fair challenge for visiting golfers.

Tree-lined fairways, strategic bunkering and well-placed water hazards reward accuracy off the tee and thoughtful approach play, while subtly contoured greens demand a steady short game. The course builds interest throughout the round with an appealing mix of par 3s, risk-reward par 5s and varied par 4s. Well-presented throughout the season, the Emerald Course provides a rewarding experience for societies and golf break groups seeking a high-quality round in scenic surroundings.
